But state laws and the National Labor Relations Act, which are supposed to protect workers’ rights to engage in collective actions, are inefficient and insufficient. A full quarter of U.S. employees aren’t covered by these laws and have no protected right to organize. America’s workers need better labor laws and a stronger National Labor Relations Board to enforce their rights.
