Deputy Director for Organizational Strength
Candace Johnson is the Deputy Director for Organizational Strength at Jobs With Justice, overseeing all of the systems and infrastructure that make our work possible. A proven leader with over 13 years of experience in multiple sectors, Candace is a tireless champion for deep systemic change and shifting structural power to communities who face structural barriers. She has organized with Food and Water Watch and was the Denver Metro Area Community Partner for The Colorado Trust. She is also on the Governing Council for The Transformative Leadership for Change, and serves on the board of Chinook Fund.
She was previously the executive director of Colorado Jobs With Justice and currently serves on their board. Before moving into her role at the national Jobs With Justice, Candace contributed her high aptitude for building alliances around long-term agendas and directing large-scale change management within organizations, particularly in innovation, equity and operations as the principal of Up and Ahead Consulting.
Candace is based in Denver with her 2 children.
