In response to the release of President Trump’s tax plan, Jobs With Justice Executive Director Sarita Gupta released the following statement:
“We need to call this tax ‘reform’ plan what it really is, a giveaway to wealthy corporations and the 1%. Working people deserve better than this massive tax cut that will put critical government services at risk and benefit only those already at the top. If congressional leaders and President Trump truly want to support all Americans, they need to focus on how to protect working people’s freedom to find good jobs and join together in union, invest in our nation’s infrastructure, and ensure everyone can afford high-quality health care, education, and retirement.”
