WV-CAG will join WV Patriots for Peace for a Tax Day event on April 15, 2010. We will hold our event at the main post office in downtown Charleston starting at 5PM. We will hand out information to people as they arrive to mail their tax returns. There is a tea baggers event at noon at the state Capitol so we will be able to counter their argument with evening news media to hit the 6PM newscast The event will focus both on the misplaced military budget as well as our Economic Justice campaign to tax Wall Street, not Main Street. We are still putting plans together for our event regarding whether or not we’ll collect petition signatures…. We will definitely have signs for honk and wave and fliers to give out to taxpayers. The main post office is huge and we will have people at two busy intersections. |
