Massachusetts Constitutional Amendment campaign

Eastern Massachusetts JwJ is working with partnering organizations to pass the Constitutional Amendment that makes health care a right not a privilege! Massachusetts has over 700,000 residents without insurance who are often unable to get the care they need. This proposed Constitutional Amendment would require the Legislature and Governor to enact laws that make sure every Massachusetts resident has access to affordable, comprehensive and equitably financed health insurance coverage.

Fair Share Health Care Legislation

JwJ coalitions in some states are working with state legislators to win legislation to require corporations to pay their fair share for health care. Fair Share Health Care legislation will reduce the bill taxpayers pay to cover profitable employer's employee expenses, ease the financial strain states face in growing Medicaid costs and help level the playing field between companies that provide good jobs and benefits and those that don't. For example, JwJ coalitions in New York State are working with the Working Families Party to win a New York State Fair Share Health Care Bill.
